Global Immersions, Inc. strives to promote intercultural understanding by bringing people from different cultures together. During the COVID-19 pandemic we created and facilitated virtual programs to provide international individuals an opportunity to learn about U.S. culture.

The Virtual Classroom Experience combines two of our popular virtual programs. The program includes the Virtual Homestay Experience and The Virtual Boston and Culture Workshop.  The program is designed for groups of students to participate from their homes or classrooms and includes a live virtual session with an American host in their home and U.S. cultural topic of their choice facilitated by the Global Immersions team. This program connects individuals to a host family, so they can experience daily life in the U.S. virtually while practicing English authentically in and through a relationship with a host family. We offer custom designed virtual classroom experiences to meet the needs of the client and  curriculum.

The Virtual Homestay Experience offers one-on-one virtual sessions with an American host in their home. This program connects individuals to a host family, so they can experience daily life in the U.S. virtually while practicing English authentically in and through a relationship with a host family. We offer custom designed virtual homestay programs for groups of all sizes and individual programs.

The Boston Experiences & Culture Workshop is designed to bring Boston, MA to you! The one-hour workshops are  interactive and include on-site Boston locations.  The goal is to offer individuals a feeling of being in Boston and insider tips that are only available by living here while at the same time learning about U.S. culture.  We will also learn about traditions and rituals of our host network and more! The Boston Experiences & Culture Workshops can be combined with a Virtual Homestay Experience group program.

The Virtual Webinars and Events are one-hour virtual sessions for participants to travel to Boston, U.S.A. or to Kanazawa, Japan. The Travel Like a Local: Boston series focuses on Boston and U.S. culture and the Living Like a Local: Japan series focuses on daily life and culture in Kanazawa, Japan.
